Are you Ready to be *AWAKENED?* to your Life Purpose?
It seems unfair. There are some people who appear to have the knack of making money and living in abundance, while others, despite working hard all their lives always seem to struggle to make ends meet. Why is it that some people easily attract abundance and others constantly live in debt and financial stress? What is the difference between the two?
It is not, as some might believe, a matter of luck or even to do with the family or social class you were born into. There are many people who were born wealthy who have managed to lose it all. On the other hand, there are many who were born into poverty and have managed to create huge wealth for themselves and others.
It secret must therefore lie within the individual and their attitude towards financial abundance.
When we were very young we automatically believed what we were told by our parents, or those in authority, and those beliefs subconsciously became part of our world view, long after we were old enough to realise that our parents were not always right! Things that happened to us also contributed to the way we think about ourselves and the world around us.
This is why we may suffer from low esteem or lack of confidence without really knowing why. If we were unable to carry out a simple task in our early learning years, or somebody told us we were useless, we may have developed a negative view about our abilities. These decisions about ourselves also applies to our attitude around money.
If you had parents that had negative beliefs about money, then it’s likely you’ve picked those up subconsciously. If your Dad said that all rich people are greedy, you will not easily be motivated to be rich because that means you will become the thing your father would not approve of. If your mother told you it was impossible for anyone from your street to ever be wealthy, you might find yourself struggling to achieve the wealth you desire.
As we got older, we started to make choices whether to believe what we heard, or to rebel against it. These choices also added to our perceptions about life. So, as adults, the way we view the world is a combination of our conditioned beliefs and our own reactionary choices about what we have heard and what we have experienced. These choices can either work for us or against us.
Any negative beliefs you have about your ability to achieve success or make money (e.g. “I’m such a loser”, “I am hopeless at making money”, or “money is dirty”) will create our reality. Even if rationally you believe otherwise, at an emotional level they will still be going on underneath, and affecting what you do and say, and therefore what happens in your life.
Fortunately, all of these beliefs, whether they are about self esteem, money, health or anything else, can be changed. Life coaching, affirmations, positive thinking and hypnosis are all ways of doing this.
Changing the way you think is not something that will happen overnight, but once your realise that your long-held negative beliefs do not have to affect your life, and are not an absolute truth, you will find it easier to start replacing them with more positive though.
