A Very Special Merry Christmas To All,

This article is written by my friend Dan, who lives in Toukley, Australia

You know, I was thinking the other day about my failed businesses… and believe me, there have been a lot of them, and I wanted to share what I’ve learned here on RobsCashCreators.com.

If you can’t watch the video for any reason, please read on. So basically, I was thinking back about all the many businesses that I had started and failed. To name just a few, I have been a mortgage broker, forex trader, share trader, property advocate, car importer, selling stuff on eBay… to name just a few.

Anyway, the truth is that most of these businesses failed. Now I’ve never been scared of failure… I’ve always had the attitude of “get up, dust yourself off, learn the lesson and move on”. For the most part, this is a good thing. It’s important not to stay down… but it’s not what i am talking about today.

When I was thinking back at these the other day, what caught my attention was that of all my failed businesses, there was only really 1 that worried me. In fact, it devastated me. With all my other failings, I just picked myself up, dusted myself off and moved on… but my most recent failing really ripped my heart out. This got me thinking “why” and “what advise can I give so people can avoid that”.

Here is what I came up with. I want you to imagine a swimmer that is training for the Olympics. This guy is waking up at 4.00am every morning without fail, sun hail or shine, to go and swim a few hundred laps before work. Then after work, absolutely exhausted, he goes back to the pool to swim a few more hundred laps. This happens everyday for 4 years, until he is finally ready to try out for the Olympics.

Now our guy is 29… this is really his last shot, if he misses it, he will be too old by the time the next Olympics roll around. He is up on the block… “take your marks”… oh now, he has slipped in…. false start… disqualified. His Olympic dreams are shattered.

Now let me ask you this… is this guy shattered? Well of course he is. So what about this… how could he have prepared himself such that he wouldn’t be shattered in this event. Well I don’t know about you, but I can only think of 1 way… and that was not to have worked so hard to get there in the first place. Of course, if he didn’t work so hard, he could never possibly actually achieve his goal…. but he wouldn’t be shattered.

Hopefully you are starting to see the point. Our swimmer is shattered because they gave their heart and soul to the goal… and if you do that, there is no way to avoid that feeling of devastation in the event of failure. So while I started this thought process trying to help you avoid it… now I want you to embrace it. I am going to go so far as to say if you have failed and it did not hurt bad… you did not try hard enough.

Don’t let this worry you… it happens to the best of us…. just be aware of it, and make sure you put your heart and soul into the next venture… because if you don’t, there is no way you can achieve your goal.

Don’t be scared to fail and fall hard. Will it hurt? Absolutely, but it’s better than the alternative, and that is a life of mediocrity. No one ever looked back on their death bed and though “I failed too many times”… to have tried a bunch of stuff and fail is something to be proud of… the only regrets people have on their death beds are to not have tried enough.

OK, that’s it from me… play with passion. I’ll speak to you next week.

ake some time now and THINK about it! Then? JUST DO IT!

Share and Enjoy:

Thought it might interest you.
Warmly,
Rob ;-)

it will keep you from giving up!.
