What Is the Definition of Marketing

If you asked many people for the definition of marketing, you’d get many wrong answers. At the very least, some would be right or be on the right track, but still give an answer that’s incomplete. Many people would answer that marketing was advertising or promotion when actually that’s only part of the answer. Marketing is everything you do to get your product or service noticed by the customer, and that include advertising and promotion as we do at Robs CashCreators .

If you learn the definition of marketing from a textbook, it’s even more involved and detailed.
 Marketing is broken down into what’s known as the 4 P’s. These make up the “marketing mix” as it was defined by Harvard business professor in the 1960s. Product, price, placement and promotion. Product simply means the product you’re offering an all that it entails like its warranty, guarantees, etc. Pricing is simply the act of choosing an appropriate price for the product. Placement is the distribution of the product—how it gets into the customers’ hands.
Point-of-sale, retail, online, which area the product is sold in, the demographic and exact selling environment all make up this part of the definition of marketing. This 4 P model works best when applied to consumer goods of fairly low to moderate cost.
High-end items require adjustments to the definition of marketing to make them successful. And the terminology used when it comes to marketing a service is different and a bit more complicated, warranting 3 more Ps on top of the original 4.

People become one of the crucial factors in the definition of marketing a service or a cash creator. Each person a customer comes into contact is even more important than usual when service marketing. This P can also refer to the customers. Process refers to the process of providing the service. Physical evidence is a part of the definition of marketing services that no one would consider purchasing a service without. This makes up all of the testimonials and case studies that demonstrate how other people liked or were helped by the product. Since a service is something that can’t be seen or felt until it’s delivered, this evidence that others benefited from the same thing is very important.

Web marketing has its own set of 4 Ps, as well. Personalization is an important part of marketing online because it allows customers to create their own products. Participation in a company’s website and activities attracts customers. Predictive modeling is a term that refers to the mathematical formula for sales models that most of us never need know about it. And peer-to-peer is an important and relatively new term. Social networking and social bookmarking are two prime examples of this. Peer-to-peer or word of mouth is a crucial part of the definition of marketing successfully online.
There are many ways to get visitors to your site. Pay Per Click, Search Engine Optimization, and Article Marketing are three online marketing promotion strategies.

Everyone wants the formula to wealth secrets.
I’ve been down that path before, too, my friend. Wealth secrets are more than just racking up the money. It is a lifestyle and a mindset. In my past life (or maybe I should say years ago),
I had a wife and family. I had a bachelor’s degree, I had a number of high-paying salaried jobs. I guess you could have called me wealthy, but I wasn’t happy. So how wealthy is that, really?

I would bounce around from one salaried job that I would get bored with and then start a business venture. I’ve tried it all from weight loss clinics to computer software to cab driving and everything in between. As each one failed, I went back to another salaried job that I hated. Eventually, I found myself fat, depressed, and living on my mom’s couch in the basement.

Then I started the real soul-searching. I didn’t just want to make more money. I wanted to live a life that was fulfilling and happy. I began formulating my own wealth secrets. I knew that I loved teaching. I started applying to different high schools to teach physics. Now, I didn’t really want to be a high school teacher, but this was the only option I saw at the time to execute this goal.

I started telling my friends what was going on, and eventually, they started referring me to less traditional forms of education. I became a software educator for big corporations, a motivational speaker, and whatever else that I was qualified to teach. When I started doing what I loved, I realized that I had the key to wealth secrets. After that, everything started to fall into place.

Get More Exposure for Your Website with Article Writing

Writing articles every day to publish online is an essential marketing strategy if you want to get yourself known and make money this is your cash creator. It’s also very difficult getting started but you just have to jump in. You sell yourself through the content of your article which must be useful, interesting and informative.

When you do it well and consistently, you gain credibility and people would be interested to look at your product. This means you have to write a few hundred articles for maximum exposure, especially if you’re only depending on article writing.

If that’s the case, you must send your articles to the best article directories, all of which are free of charge. Write one article a day, every single day. After you’ve gotten the hang of it (about a month) make it two a day, etc. because you’d have learnt about your new product by then.

Article Content To get started, write about what you know or have learnt about your product. Don’t use the verbatim draft article or press release companies often provide. It is only an example, after all. Plus, if you use them as they are, they tend to sound stiff and uninteresting and nobody’s going to read it.

And in any case, somebody will already have used the text and that will get your article rejected by article directories. Yep, it’s all been said before. Find a new angle; put your own spin on the content.

If you’re new to the product and market, check the speciality review sites for information and ratings. Read other articles for ideas and draft your own based on what you understood. I didn’t say copy or rewrite what you read. That’s plagiarism!

Article Title and Keywords On a scale of one hundred, your article title should be between seventy to eighty characters long, no more. This is for the search engines to take an interest in you. Always put your keywords in the first four (4) words of your title and try to repeat them at the end, athough sometimes that’s not possible.

A good example is my title; my keyword is article writing but I couldn’t fit it in exactly the same way and have it make sense, so I turned it around. It still works. I got this tip from J. Herring, the article marketing guy.

Search engines ‘lose interest’ if they don’t find any keywords in the first four to five words of your title; that’s why long titles matter. But please remember that your titles should always make sense. Article directories will reject your article for this.

Use of Keywords in Article Body and Article Length Repeat your keywords in the first line of your first paragraph and write between four hundred to five hundred words per article. You don’t need more. The ratio of keywords to article content is one keyword for every hundred words.

Article Submission After you’ve written your article, proof-read it, do it again in preview mode, and one last time after you publish it (you can usually edit after publishing in most free article directories but not at EzineArticles).

Send your articles to the best article directories: EzineArticles (top notch in all areas); Buzzle (tons of how-to write information and they accept fiction and poems); GoArticles (easy, good exposure & great for 1st timers); Amazines (distribute to other ezines); iSnare (pay for articles but no promotional content). Get exposure.

Be sure to read the submission guidelines and stick to them. If you don’t already have one, open a Twitter account and upload your articles there as well and think about joining other social groups where you can promote your articles (not Digg and Propeller – that’s spam to them).
